OPEN HOUSE AT DYNON!

On Saturday, July 9th Dynon will hold an open-house at their Woodinville, Washington (near Seattle) production facility and headquarters. This is during the week of the Arlington Fly-In.  So fly-in, enjoy camping or staying at a nearby hotel, view the multitude of airplanes at the third largest experimental aircraft event, see beautiful Western Washington, and come have bar-b-que at Dynon.

Buses will transport people from the Fly-In site to the factory and back.  Local pilots can drive directly to Dynon. Reservations are required so that we have bus and/or parking spaces reserved.

The Open House will feature a factory tour to show where Dynon products are manufactured. Free bar-b-que will be available during the Open House and you will have a chance to talk to many Dynon employees. Pilots can even fly SkyView on one of two simulators, and door prizes will include $500 Dynon gift certificates, Dynon DX15 hand held radios, and a free hat to the first 50 guests who make a reservation and attend.

Team Oracle

Many aerobatic flight teams use Dynon Avionics for their flight instruments. Team Oracle is one which uses an EFIS-D10A in their custom built bi-plane. Sean Tucker doesn't need it so much during performances, but Brian Norris flies the plane cross-country between venues and so he got to specify the Dynon.

SkyView 3.1 Released

SkyView 3.1 is available. You may go to our Website and read about the changes, download the software, and purchase SV-MAP-270 (released with 3.0) if you wish.

The big new feature for this update is flight planning. You can create and manipulate flight plans with multiple waypoints right on your SkyView display. Or, use any computer-based flight planner that supports the GPX file format to create flight plans at home!

SkyView can be set up to provide turn anticipation between flight plan legs. When configured this way, SkyView starts its turn guidance in advance of a waypoint to fly a transition that doesn't overshoot the next leg.

For times that a flight plan isn't needed "direct-to" capability is still as easy to use as it has been in previous Navigation Mapping Software version.

Additionally, for our more technical customers, SkyView can now output EMS data out any of the 5 configurable RS-232 serial ports in the baud rate of your choosing. Support for more data (mapping and ADAHRS) will be coming in a future release.
